"...because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them, and they worked together — by trade they were tentmakers." Acts 18:3. Tentmaker is a title taken by bi-vocational pastors. As such, I am both a pastor and a project manager. I am a pastor of a local congregation of moderate, accepting and affirming people who worship in the Baptist tradition. We call our church "Hope Memorial Baptist" and we are about 40 in number. I am also a project manager of major construction projects for the State of Georgia. My home and church is in rural Coweta County, between Peachtree City and Newnan, with a mailing address of Sharpsburg, Georgia.

What do You Think?

Here is an interesting article. I'd like to know what you think about the current schism in the Baptist denomination and the chances for a new Baptist voice in America.

I posted about this at my blog. I think we need a new voice. I am simply curious about Clinton's involvement.

Of course, Clinton's involvement, as well as Carter's, could be based on their political aspirations. The SBC has been decidedly pro Rebublican and Right Wing. I do hope that this convocation will not become a pro-Democrat and Left Wing organization. In fact, I am tired of Religious organizations espousing any political agenda. For this new convocation to work for me, it must be non-political.
